Fix video mode at 1080i60 (interlaced 1920x1080 at 60Hz)

Hi there,

I would like to set video mode at 1080i60 (interlaced 1920x1080 at 60Hz). I am using DVI-D on ZOTAC ION Mini ITX motherboard.

2. I know this can be done at NVIDIA Control Panel, but my problem is this: I need to test various brands of LCD ; every time I change to connect to different LCD , their video mode get reset back to 1080p60 (progressive 1920x1080 at 60Hz), even though these LCD supposed to support 1080i60 (interlaced).

3. I can do this manually in NVidia Control Panel to set to interlaced mode, but is there something like calling to NvCPL.dll and do this? The only API manual is quite old (version 13, year 2005), settvmode doesn't seem to work properly.

4. I just want to fix the video mode at 1080i60, no matter which LCD / projectors I am connecting.

Thanks.

simple question, WHY do you want inferior video mode?

seconded.
If your video/LCD/projector supports 1080p, why not use it?
It makes a HUGE difference on computer displays...

It would be nice to know how to force output a fixed resolution regardless of the monitor being connected. The original question is for 1080i@60 but more generically it can be asked for any resolution.

And to answer why would you want that.. well....
Say I am building a video device and I want to force the output so users can be sure of that video they expect; I will need to always output this fixed resolution and not keep changing depending on what is connected on the other end of the cable.

Any ideas anyone??
