Got the TV, now on to sound.

So our family finally got a 120hz HD TV on boxing day. Hockey, Tennis, Football look stunning on HD sports channels. Very happy. But the speakers on the TV are very weak.
Is it possible to purchase a decent HTIB package? or is that like a non-existent fantasy. I was also thinking of maybe purchasing used Z-5500s and using those.
Maybe you guys could recommend what to buy. Our room is not very big at all (The TV is about 6-7feet from the couch) and spending less would be a big plus. Just looking for a value-based step up from the the built-in speakers.

Thanks as always :)

Personally I have the Energy RC-Micro 5.1 coupled with a set of Bowers & Wilkins front speakers for 7.1. I'm using an Onkyo TX-SR608 to push them.

To save a bit of cash, don't worry about the B&W fronts and leave it as a 5.1. Go with the Onkyo HT260 instead of the 608.

Oh and if you do go with the Energy speakers, don't expect them to sound great at first. They take about two days of burning in before they start to warm up.

No problem. Good luck with whatever you go with.

Oh and here is a pic of how the speakers look. Man my setup looked like a rat's nest back then, of course I did take the pics not long after I finished. It looks much cleaner now. :)
