File Comparison Software

Hey guys. I'm trying to compare the filenames on two different drives, but cannot find any scripts or programs that will just give me what files that are on drive 1 but not on drive 2.

Any hints?

I finally found a batch script that works and it's running, seems to be doing it's job so far.

I've not had any good luck with my PC stuff this week. Not a happy camper right now. :(

how about a little VB app?

That requires some recursion, which, if a person hasn't programmed before, may leave them scratching their head.

Agreed, I haven't done VB in 6+ years so I don't remember anything lol.

I haven't checked my script this morning but it appeared to be working properly last night. Thanks guys.

I know you found something already, but here's something to find directories, then a nested for loop to check for the file, and a quick dump to a text file and you're done. Maybe for the future. It may be a lot faster than a batch file.
