I feel like it's taking them too long to get this to the public. I guess they are very lucky with this sata port fiasco that is going on with p67.

If it comes out competitive in regards to performance and power consumption, and they continue to charge less for the parts, and have no defects of any kind- this could be a fairly big win for AMD. It'll give them another very successful platform to build off of. :)

It would be nice if we could could get some benchmarks. I'm ready to build a new rig in the next few months.

I still don't think the chips are going to be good for gamers. Traditionally AMD has been able to compete in everything BUT gaming, where Intel has trounced them with the exception of what... the original Athlon?

The Athlon, AthlonXP, Athlon 64, and Athlon 64 x2 all handily beat their intel counterparts at gaming until the C2D came along.
