Problem with nvidia geforce GT 525M in Ubuntu

Hello All,
Recently, I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 , in my Laptop Dell XPS L502 with graphic card "nvidia geforce GT 525M" and there is a recommended driver update in the "Additional Drivers". When updating it though my Ubuntu hangs at the loading screen like at "Checking Battery state..."
I would be appreciated reply this message at your earliest convenience.
Thanks
Ayoub

You can't use the card with Linux since you have Optimus. You're stuck with Intel.

Should've researched before you bought.

There's no trick. Right now, the card can't be used, period.

That may change later this year depending on what David Airlie or Nvidia do.
