I recently got a GT220 card for my amd64 computer

Running slackware64-current kernel kernel linux-
Install of driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-270.41.06.run was ok
Launching x : Logo nvdia screen and Total freeze of display !!

Runnig Debian64 testing kernel 2.6.32-5-amd64
Same thing ..........

After many tris i installed previous driver : NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-260.19.44.run
the two configs run ok with this driver

Re: Bug with GT220 card
FYI, my GT220 works well with 270.41.06 on Ubuntu 11.04 (kernel v2.6.38-8).

Same here. GT220 card, Arch linux 64-bit, Intel i5 CPU. Kernel 2.6.38 startx hangs to splash screen and last line in X.org log is loading GLX. nvidia drivers:270.41.06-1 keyboard is stuck SSH works. One tiny symptom: nvidia-bug-report.sh also hangs running nvidia-report-bug.sh and logfile ends to GCC version.

I'll try the 260 series also as 270 seems to be broken. It should be somehow installable.
EDIT: No I won't try that. Hassling with older X isn't solution. Too many things break down.
