Visual glitches on bottom of the screen (MacBook 5.2)

3 Attachment(s)
Hi,

Since i've first installed ubuntu, I got a visual glitch at bottom of the screen while using Nvidia drivers (with nv/vesa drivers this doesn't happens).

The bottom at the screen, sometimes, keeps flickering and moving content to the right as shown on attached picture

When I tried to do a screen snapshot, the image generated was perfect (also attached) even while the problem was happening

This happened on Ubuntu 9.10, 10.04, 10.10 and now with 11.04
My computer is a Macbook 5.2 with nVidia Corporation C79 [GeForce 9400M G]
And my nvidia drive is the ubuntu default one (270.41.06)

attached the bug report with refference images

What happens with nouveau driver?

My first guess would be bad hardware.

Hello!

I don't think it's a hardware problem since in MacOS X, even in game, this bug doesn't shows.

And on Ubuntu, while running games this bug doesn't shows also.

I will try nouveau.

Happens to me too. I have exactly the same machine. Nouveau driver doesn't have the problem and the video is also perfect on Mac OS X.

Any ideas?
