Quadro FX 360M - 270.41.06 - after suspend, X dies several minutes later

Howdy,

I've been hounded with a problem after upgrading to openSUSE 11.4 After upgrading my Dell M4300, after resuming from a suspend or a hibernate, X will die several minutes later. I end up back at the login screen. I re-login and all is well until the next time I resume from a suspend/hibernate.

I've run different tests with NvAGP "1" and NvAGP "0" to no avail. I've also tried Beta 275.09 driver but that was worst, the machine didn't successfully awaken after suspending. It simply turned off. :)

Details
  • Quadro FX 360 M
  • Driver version 270.41.06
  • Dell M4300
  • Worked fine with openSUSE 11.1

Sample output in /var/log/messages
Code:

May 24 11:18:07 zoom kdm[17085]: X server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly
Per the README, I enabled verbose Xorg logging however I couldn't tell that it was more verbose. :\ Regardless, I'm attaching an `nvidia-bug-report.log.gz'

I believe this is an Xorg issue because it also happens when I use the nouveau GFX driver. I'm going to open a bug with openSUSE 11.4 and see if it's an upstream or distro-specific.
