File Recovery
 

Haven't been in these areas in ages, but have a weird situation.
Doing a raw recovery for a client using ontrack easy recovery, well
the recovery did ok, but the file types are their but not usuable. Is there
an app that can sorta fix the extentions so that they can be used? The files
are like, "DIR08.exe" or even "DIR15.BMP". Files are their, but not in tact. The
drive makes a strange sound like its failing anyway so we know the drive needs
replacing, but wanna save files. Funny thing also when plugging in drive, it keeps
telling me if i wanna format drive.
