Rotate one screen with TwinView?
I've searched all over the internet, and I haven't found any solution to this even though people have been reporting it as an issue since at least 2006. I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 (with the Gnome 2 desktop) with a GTX 560 Ti and two monitors, and I'd like to rotate one 90 degrees counterclockwise. I DON'T want to use Xinerama (which is incompatible with Compiz), and I don't want to use each screen as a separate X screen - I just want to use TwinView and rotate one monitor. There's an option for this in the Windows NVIDIA Control Panel, so why not Linux? Is there ANY possible solution, or even a fix on the horizon? This has apparently been an issue for like five years.

If you add this to xorg.conf you get a rotation setting in the control panel

# RPM Fusion - nvidia-xorg.conf
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nvidia"
Option "RandRRotation" "true"

Re: Rotate one screen with TwinView?
xrandr 1.4 needs to be released and then nvidia needs to switch to it. I don't think you'll see single monitor rotation until then.
