According to Samsung, the Galaxy Skin incorporates flexible AMOLED displays, instead of glass, and is said to use a plastic polyimide substrate. The tests showed that the displays are able to bend around a cylinder, measuring just an inch in diameter.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Skin will sport a 4-inch bendable AMOLED display (800x400), 8-megapixel rear and VGA front cameras, 1.2GHz processor, 1GB memory, and supports Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. The phone may not run the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but a new mobile operating system called Android Flexy. According to news sources, Samsung has already confirmed that the production of these flexible AMOLED displays will begin in the Q2 2012 next year, which means that we could see the Samsung Galaxy Skin in stores before end 2012.
Wow....a novelty more than practicality but...interesting
