How can I send the boot output to the geforce 8400 gs pci instead of onboard?

Hi,

I have a motherboard/bios that doesn't let me disable the onboard video. I recently installed a Geforce 8400 GS PCI card and it doesn't show any boot information/screens. I only see output on this card once X starts.

Is there something I can do to force the boot to ignore the onboard video? As I mentioned above, the bios doesn't provide me a way to disable the onboard video.

I'm using the latest Nvidia driver in a Mageia 1 system running kernel 2.6.38.8-desktop-5.mga .

Thanks!
R

Don't know the answer to your question but in case BIOS you have is AMI-based then you may try to press Ctrl+F1 at the main menu screen of the BIOS setup utility. Sometimes it helps to unlock advanced options.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot.
