on a serious note, if someone wants to test new FPS limiter you can try it with nv inspector. 1) download this xml file http://www.mediafire.com/?x3kpfajko3bs894 2)replace it with the one found in the main Nv inspector folder 3) tweak to your liking :) http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...25fpslimit.png |
Re: Nvidia GeForce 290.53 beta drivers
FXAA works on OpenGL games through the nVidia drivers. I have enabled FXAA for Amnesia - The Dark Descent. This is one game that will not work with conventional AA methods. FXAA does work. The problem I have is that the FXAA indicator (green box in the upper left corner) will not go away. Even if I turn it off through nVidia Inspector. Is there any other way to turn it off. The game is very dark and the green indicator is very distracting.

Just upgraded to these, haven't tried gaming with them yet but get a really annoying flickering issue on the Windows 7 login screen.

Re: Nvidia GeForce 290.53 beta drivers
Just installed 290.53, first time I have been able to use my Computer in 24 hours after the massive 6.0 earthquake yesterday here in Christchurch! really stoked my PC survived (its on the ground) other stuff didn't though like my week old home theatre speakers got pretty scratched up when they fell over :( pretty gutted!
Sorry off topic but had to rant to make myself feel a tiny bit better. Anyway 290.53 are heaps better for me, MW3 was unplayable with 290.36 because of microstuttering and hitching but all that has gone away with 290.53. Also hoping BM AC will be playable too with DX 11 because even with the patch it was pretty slow and it would CTD after a few minutes of play. Can't comment on Skyrim as I don't own it... yet!! might get it for christmas maybe.. but have a few broken things around the house I need to replace first. |
Re: Nvidia GeForce 290.53 beta drivers
When I enable SLI, I get no picture on my Apple Led Cinema (mini displayport) hooked on an Atlona AT-DP200 converter. Former drivers alway's worked (with the exception of 290.36)
It dispays right on my old CRT though. I have two MSI GTX 580's 3 GB extrme editions and an X58 mobo, and a Intel X25-M SSD and Win 7 64 installed. |
Re: Nvidia GeForce 290.53 beta drivers
staying away from these as there have been many reports of issues and also having to reinstall windows after having these installed

yea? lol i didnt have anything serious yet.. Never had to reinstall windows because of driver ^^ Well I tested ~10games and all are ok, actually this 290.57 is much smoother compared to 290.37. |
Re: Nvidia GeForce 290.53 beta drivers
Reinstall Windows because of a driver? That's just silly. It says more about the person operating the PC than the actual drivers themselves.
