Random X freeze
I've recently installed a GeForce 4 MX 440.
Since then I have ramdoom freeze of X.
I loose control of X (can't Ctrl-Atl-Backspace or anything) If I log in from another machine I can come back by killing -9 X and restarting X.
What's going on ?

X Freeze
What kernel are running. You need 2.4.22 or newer.

I tried both the uniprocessor standard and the enterprise bigmem SMP kernel from the mandrake 9.1 distribution.
I've tried lowering AGP speed, disabling fast write int the BIOS. The freeze seems to happen when there is other I/O activity.

Why is 2.4.2 needed ? I've seen report in this group saying that it does not make any differences to some people.
