in which 1156 socket motherboard will an asus gtx 580 directcuII graphic card fit?

i recently purchased an asus gtx 580 directcuII graphics card but the card is too big for my current motherboard. i intend to get a new motherboard and put all the parts like processor, ram, etc. from my current motherboard onto the new one. i've an i5 750 2.67ghz processor fitting in a 1156 socket. what i've been trying to know is which 1156 socket motherboard will my video card fit in?

I honestly say as long as your MOBO has a PCI-E slot on it, it will hold any graphics card. the only real limitation is the case that your putting your computer into.

What do you mean by "the card is too big for my current motherboard"?
Motherboards are usually standard and all cards should fit as long as you have the right slot on board.
What prevents the card from fitting? A tall heatsink/fan? (this is all I can think of as the Direct CU2 is a 3 slots cooler).
Could you tell us which MB you currently have and why the ASUS does not fit on it?

i have a dell 033FF6 mobo with the PCI-E slot. When i try to install my video card its rear part, where the second fan is, comes directly above the jacks of two flat SATA cables (one connects to the hard drive and the other connects to the cd-rom) so it prevents them from connecting and its impossible to fit when the cables are attached.

Ah, I think I understand your problem. Maybe you need something like that:

Please do not start several subjects about this one issue. I'm closing and deleting your other threads.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Inspiro...-/220809036504 This seems to be the motherboard you have. The only thing i can suggest would be to use right angle sata cables and move the sata cables directly around the graphics card if it will work. Other than that you will need a new mobo most DELL motherboards aren't built like mobo's you buy just off newegg so any mobo you buy such as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131604. Most of these ones off newegg arent made like the garbage that dell provides so you will have a ton of room to install a big graphics card on the mobo.

Dell Inspiron 580 has 300w PSU, You'll need a new PSU also.

Pre Made computer like this are always a pain to upgrade to 'WE ARE NOT USING THOSE IN THIS' parts.. ;)

And you'll need a 650W+ PSU to feed this card... again, there's chance that a normal PSU won't fit (not always the case, but it happens)
