I have a problem with the following setup:

Operating System:
RHELS 5.7 x86_64

Nvidia Driver:
295.20 (and earlier version tried over the last nine months) x86_64 version
Graphics Card:
Quadro 4000

Displays:
1) Alienware 2310 connected to DVI port with dual link cable
2) Alienware 2310 connected to DP port with adaptor cable and dual link DVI

3D Vision wireless setup.

The problem is that I can't get the xorg.conf file to allow twinview with one screen stereo (at 120Hz) and the second screen non-stereo (at 60Hz). We have a similar setup with one Alienware screen and one Samsung 60Hz screen where the twinview which 'half' stereo works fine.

If I start the system with the simple nvidia-xconfig generated xorg.conf file (with the Option "stereo" "10" line), then only one screen is enabled, but nvidia-settings can be used to enable second screen at 60Hz and with the desktop covering both screens. However, merging these settings with xorg.conf and rebooting leads to the second screen being disabled and it is only possible to run it at 640x480 using nvidia-settings.

which shows the lack of bandwidth on the second connection meaning that stereo is not supported (as expected) but then running the screen at 60Hz seems to be skipped over as an option despite being a validated mode.

We can continue to use the nvidia-settings program (and load the settings at login), but I would prefer to set up machines using xorg.conf for portability. The same problem persists if I configure xorg.conf to use edid file generated by nvidia-settings.

Attached are the nvidia-bug-report output (with the second screen was plugged into the alternate DP port), the full Xorg.0.log file for which part is quoted above and a working xorg.conf file from the other machine mentioned.

An additional point:

The second machine (with different screens) also behaves differently under KDE, where it is possible to configure both the screens separately, whereas with the dual Alienware screens there is only ever the large virtual screen (3840 x 1080) which can be configured.
