Impossible To Compile Drivers On Suse 8.2
Hi, I have a Suse 8.2 installation and the driver (4496) won't install.
This is what I've found on nvidia-installer.log If you know what you are doing and want to override this check, you can do so by setting IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH. In any other case, set the CC environment variable to the name of the compiler that was used to compile the kernel. *** Failed cc sanity check. Bailing out! *** make: *** [gcc-check] Error 1 During installation it doesn't find anything on the FTP and try to recompile the driver itself, but it quits. Any help? Please. |
Impossible To Compile Drivers On Suse 8.2
Search for SuSE the driver version number (4496 I think is the newest) and you should come up with details on how to (this may be located on SuSE's web page)..
If memory serves this is what you do: export IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH=yes sh NVIDIA*.run --force-tls=classic (Don't quote me...) Note: google is a wonderful thing... |
The driver download page has a link going straight to SuSE's NVidia Driver Installer How-To...
RTFM... |
