3D Vision 2 Kit
 

Sorry for the cryptic title but that's basically what my problem is :)

Ok, I broke the glasses from my 3D Vision Kit. Because of the high prices they call for a replacement I decided to get a new kit: a 3D Vision 2 Kit.
This kit comes with a cable with a 3 pin mini-DIN connector on one side and a 3,5 mm plug at the other end. Now I'm trying to figure out where to fit this 3 pin mini-DIN plug:

- it does not fit into a GF 8800 GT
- it does not fit into a GF GTX 280
- where will this plug fit?

Inquiring mind wants to know :)

I bought a 3DVision 2 Kit and I don't recall having this issue. Nothing should have to plug directly into your video card. The base emitter plugs into your computer through the USB port, and the glasses are wireless and charged through USB as well. As far as I know, the base emitter for the 3DVision 2 and the 3DVision kit are the same as well, or at least can be used interchangeably.

Out of curiosity I've taken the cable to my office this morning. Here I have a good old Dell PWS 360 with a Quadro FX 3000. It plugs into the card without any hassles. So I guess this cable is for optimized sync for professional applications.
Thanks for your answers. So 3D vision 2 works without this cable and head scratching has ended :)
Nevertheless, I'll try to get a cheap Quadro for home to test if there is any difference with and without this cable.

Follow-up: it seems the low end Quadro cards don't come with this 3 pin connector. I've found them only on the 5000 and 6000. So this cable does not seem necessary as even the low end Quadros (400, 600) support 3D vision.
