Uninstalling NVIDIA driver in Linux

I am going to the competitor's side (ATI) soon. How and where do I uninstall NVIDIA's driver and clean up the left overs?

Thank you in advance. :)

Sacrilege! Well, its inevitable on occasion, but have fun getting acceleration to work with their drivers!

:afro:

If you installed simply with the nvidia-installer you can have the great pleasure of its use again.

nvidia-installer --uninstall

If you didn't extract all that out of the .run file, you can do the same, however I can't verify the command line right now, try:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run --help

I think that'll get you started. Leftovers should be scarce if at all present, I'll leave that to anyone who has actually uninstalled them! :)
