Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
Problem has been solved by using a self compiled kernel without all the modules of an initramfs ;) But now the Nvidia driver doesn't find any screen.

Same problem as me I think.
In dmesg, do you have these lines when you run optirun ? Quote:

Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
No, I don't have any errors in dmesg.

Optimus?

Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
sure. But the only thing which doesn't work, is the video display detection.

Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
You have read that Optimus don't work in Linux?
|
Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
No, I haven't. But I read something about bumblebee and tried this, but it seems that the nvidia gpu isn't connected to the internal display.

Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
Bumblebee is for gpu's, which are not connected to the display.
|
Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
Yes, but as I already wrote before, it does not work, because no screen could be found.

Re: 302.17 doesn't support my GT 640M
You have never read the bumblebee manual!
