NVIDIA Showcases GPU Breakthroughs at IBC 2012

http://5601-blogs-nvidia-com.voxcdn....-amsterdam.jpgWe're in Amsterdam this week at IBC, showcasing the power that our latest GPU technologies provide broadcasters, film studios and video post-production pros.

More than 50,000 attendees at this annual conference on the creation, management and delivery of electronic media and entertainment content will be able to check out our new NVIDIA Quadro and Tesla GPU-based professional solutions. Highlighting these is our just-announced Quadro K5000 for Mac, the most powerful professional-class GPU ever for the Mac Pro.

Also on display is our next-generation NVIDIA Maximus technology, plus compelling remote graphics capabilities delivered in the cloud via our NVIDIA VGX platform, and Adobe Anywhere, a technology demonstration being driven by NVIDIA Tesla GPUs.

All these advances are built on the NVIDIA Kepler architecture, the world's fastest, most efficient GPU architecture.

packed with power for Mac Pro users.

Our second generation of NVIDIA Maximus, announced last month, gives digital content creators more freedom and creative flexibility. Film editors and animators can work in real time on their most challenging projects, create complex simulations and interactive visual effects, and work in 3D texture painting workflows without being constrained by a maximum number of textures.

The second generation of NVIDIA Maximus includes our newNVIDIA Quadro K5000GPU, paired with the new NVIDIA Tesla K20 computing accelerator fordramatically faster performance. We're showing off what this next generation ofNVIDIA Maximus technology can do by running Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, both of which take great advantage of NVIDIA CUDA.

For remote graphics, NVIDIA is using a thin client to demonstrate interactive, real-time, physically based rendering with Autodesk Maya 2013, performed remotely on a workstation powered by NVIDIA VGX.

NVIDIA GPUs are also driving Adobe Anywhere for video. Revealed by Adobe at IBC, it brings video production and collaboration to workgroups andprivate networks. Adobe Anywhere lets video professionals work together in real time across almost any network. And, like Adobe Premiere Pro, NVIDIA CUDA-powered Tesla GPUs will drive much of the system's real-time capabilities.

Finally, the newest MacBook Pro with NVIDIA GPUs just got better with the latest update to Adobe CS6 Production Premium (Release 6.0.2). Out-of-the-box GPU speed-ups are enabled using OpenCL on NVIDIA GPUs, but the latest optimized NVIDIA CUDA Mac Driver will boost OpenCL performance considerably ' by as much as 40 percent.

See all our GPU technology breakthroughs in action at IBC now through Sept. 11 at the RAI Amsterdam in booth 7.B17.
