OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0

Hello,
I run Suse Linux Version 9. I just had compiled flightgear. When I want to start the game, I got the error:

OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0

Ok, after the installation of Suse I went to the homepage of Nvidia and downloaded the driver ( NVIDIA_Linux-1.0_4496.pkg2.run )

After the installation of the driver I executed switch2nvidia. After that, I startet sax2 to configure my X-Server.
When I enabled the 3d acceleration, the follwing test of the X-SErver failed. I have a 15 inch TFT. The screen stayed black. Contol + alt + Backspace didn't worked out.

Any suggestion ?

Bodo

My System:

MSI-KT4-V
NVidia Geforce FX 5600
Suse 9.0

as far as i can see, you still use the nv driver module (which has no 3d-support) not the nvidia module from nvidia.com.
you have to replace
Driver "nv"
with
Driver "nvidia"
in section
Section "Device"
of /etc/X11/XF86Config.
