Fixing what's broke: 10 stories from Ars you may have missed this week
Ars published many stories this week, but many took a look at holes and patches in the tech world. From a very literal perspective, we looked at a backdoor used in an industrial heating system used by the FBI, IRS, and the Pentagon. Apple also patched what many users saw as a fatal flaw in iOS: the lack of a reliable maps app. The company allowed Google maps to issue its own, non-native app for iPhone users.
In a more figurative sense, Ars looked at the problems with HP's corporate structure, and discussed the energy grid of the future.
If you missed any of the stories below this week, now's your chance to catch up.
