argh - asus p9x79 just died due to turning on 'optimal' mode?

hai guys,

Just turned on my asus 'ez' mode - optimal - for the first time, and now no boot, nothing.

tried resetting cmos loads, and taking out battery and still nothing. lights turn on, everything seems fine but nada.

I have been travelling around india for a few months so I am out of the loop and this machine is new to me - is this a known problem? any ideas what to do? shall I try to update the bios?

Just about to get some prints made for my first exhibition tomorrow so Im a bit pissed off!

cheers for any help!
