Finally a progress on the display front! I was really glad when I read this today.

Looking forward to a Retina Thunderbolt Display :)

I'd prefer a professional-grade display in the 27-32" range. For working, higher DPI is key.
This is what the market truly needs. A step up from all those aging 30" 2560x1600 screens with highly accurate colors!

If I'd want 4K for entertainment, I'd get a 4K TV in the 55-65" range.

Is there any news on the refresh rate supported by this monitor? The problem with most 4K TVs right now is that they are only 30Hz at 4K resolutions due to HDMI 1.4 only supporting that much bandwidth. If this monitor either supports dual HDMI or display port so it can do 4K at 60Hz it would be more worth a look. Although I'll probably wait until a 120Hz 4K screen comes out in the future as I don't want to make tradeoffs between my current refresh rate and resolution.

No word on the refresh rate but the display supports DisplayPort 1.2 so there shouldn't be any restrictions caused by the underperforming interface like HDMI.

I'm more curios to see how good this 10-bit IZGO panel will be when it comes to colors and accuracy. It already has a major drawback as it's only a 16:9 screen so it better be a very high quality panel!

Personally I couldn't care less about the refresh rate if it's 60Hz.

Seiki is also releasing a 39' 4k tv for $700 U.S., Here is the article. BTW, check the link in the article about the 50' seiki. They have a video on that page that shows them playing battlefield 3 in 4k on two gtx 680 classifieds in sli. Each card was using 3 of 4 gb video ram in sli trying to keep about 30-40 frame rate gameplay.
