USB pen drive
I got a USB pen drive, but I don't know why sometimes it
works sometimes it doesn't work, and sometimes it works on this computer but not the other. Normally, when you plug the usb drive into the usb port, then it will automatically appear inside the "My computer". But sometimes it doesn't appear, so what should I do? Adrian |
what operatings systems do each computer have? Pen drive is natively supported by Windows ME, 2K, XP. For Windows 98se you need to install a seperate drivers. It will not function at all with Windows NT4 or 95

It also depends on the drive letter the pen-drive choses to be mapped with. I have this problem at work where I must disconnect a specific network-drive for the pen-drive to function as it won't let you set which drive letter it will use.

one more thing that could be the problem, how many usb devices do you have on the systems that it doesn't work on? There could be a power problem on the bus.

Oh, probably that's the case, I am using the windows XP, and I got a peer to peer network, then I mapped the drive to the other computer, I think that's similar to your case.
