for all of you worrying about high temps on adaptec raid cards don't worry.
 
As some of you noticed that I got frustrated about temps on the 6805e raid card I had. I was getting about 50-53 celcius. Adaptec raid cards I found out through a google search are like Nvidia Fermi cards, they are meant to run hot. The max operating temp for adaptec raid cards is 100 celsius. Here it is right from adaptec's ASK database. Their maxview storage software kicks in and alerts somewhere in the 80 celsius temp range. Adaptec, this would have been nice to know about 2 weeks ago when I was trying my arse off to get your crappy storage manager services running in windows 8.1! Now I can just buy (I may actually cut my costs and get a 6405e) and run the card with the driver. Because unless even Arizona doesn't even hit 100 celcius. For that don't know, that's 230 Farhenheit.
