GeForce and DRI with 331.67
Hello All,

I have the 331.67 Linux driver installed and everything works really well. I have noticed that DRI does not seem to be installed (or at least enabled) and I have read conflicting reports about Linux/DRI/Nvidia on the internet.

xdpyinfo states that DRI2 and DRI3 are enabled for the server but nvidia-settings states

Direct Rendering: No

under the "OpenGL/GLX Information" pane. Also, starting this app from a terminal provides some more info:

root@boogie:~# nvidia-settings
libGL: screen 0 does not appear to be DRI3 capable
libGL: screen 0 does not appear to be DRI2 capable

and them some swrast info which is not relevant. Should I manually enable DRI in xorg.conf? Or is this expected behavior (as in "no DRI*)? I ask because (I think) the lack of DRI support prohibits 3d acceleration in VMWare Player guests.

Thanks, and suggestions are welcome!

You might want to open your eyes and realize that this forum has zero activity and that it has some pinned topics which scream and shout about changes.
