New drivers and lag

First, sorry, my english is very poor.
And then my question...

I installed the 1.0-5328 driver, but still my graphis card doesn't work very well...
I can start my x and the 2d work fine, but when I try to play Enemy territory or Tuxracer, they started but the 3D doesn't work enought fast (Same as the lag in lan games, but which cause my computer... I don't know it word to the English).

My computer is:
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
PNY GForce Ti 4200 64Mb 8*AGP
512 RAM
MAndrake 9.2

In XFree86.0.log file isn't any Error message, but follows Warning messages:
---------------
(WW) Option "XkbOptions" requires an string value

(WW) NVIDIA(0): Not using mode "576x384":
(WW) NVIDIA(0): horizontal sync start (589) not a multiple of 8

(WW) NVIDIA(0): Failed to verify AGP usage
--------------------

I have done changes which was in README file...

I hope that somebody understand what I try to tell...

EDIT: my kernel is 2.4.22-21mdk

Your problem is that your AGP is not turned on or correctly installed
try
Code:

cat /proc/drivers/nvidia/agp/status
You should get something like this...
Code:

Status:          Enabled
Driver:          NVIDIA
AGP Rate:        8x
Fast Writes:    Enabled
SBA:            Enabled

To fix this re-install the nvidia drivers.
Search the forum on how to install there is a wealth of incormation here.
If you are still unable to get it working, please post what chipset you are using.
