if you thought Hl2 physics were good ,see this .. :)

Medal of Honor:Pacific Assault physics videos.. very impressive stuff..
Water with ripples and nice looking reflections ,and Characters ragdolls animations ,
very detailed jungles ,and many other cool techniques and effects.. Havok physics its used heavily in this game too.. its great to see that advanced physics engines will be the standar in all games.. Hl2 .MOH:PA ,Painkiller are just some examples of games using Havok Physics engine.. other games using their own engine.

for the people that still have not seen MOH:PA videos ,here is a link..
the "nature" demo shows heavy uses of physics..

Very nice. It looks like I'm going to really get wrapped up in this one based upon the characters movie, considering my love of WWII.

Too bad it's EA, who at their current rate will have us paying for patches soon. :afro:

That looks really good. And even if EA suffers sometimes in the patch department, they're pretty adamant about getting their games out on time.

Bah games have still far to go , physics are good , but noone of them give you ability to destroy walls ;)

Red Faction was one of its kind , offcourse its outdated by todays standarts but you could destroy walls/ floors enviroment takes real damage not just some paint job

I had my fill of World War 2 shooters about 10 games ago.

OMFG. the third video "characters'' is amazing. If they can pull off that much detail in each soldiers faces, I'll buy the game even if its not that great. :)

Curious...where do you come up with such an accusation?

It's not exactly difficult to add physics into a game anymore, all you have to do is hand over a lump of change to the developers of Havok and magicly you have ragdoll effects and objects that react realisticly. I don't think I'll be impressed by physics again as much as I was by Trespasser in 1998, though Half-life 2 at E3 2003 is pretty close. I'm still impressed when I see the effect, but it seems like developers are just adding cheap flairs to a game for the sole purpose of wowing people rather than for gameplay reasons.

Oh, and DVS, I think an Xbox game called Otogi has a bit of that geometry deformation feature. You can hit enemies into the ground and they'll leave a nice crator if you hit them hard enough. Not quite up to Geo-mod quality, but hey, we're getting back up there. But I think a Red Faction 3 with Havok physics would be pretty cool.

That was probably a very careless comment of me. I suppose I'm just bitter about EA putting expansion after expansion out for games (such as Allied Assault) when other companies offer free addons, such as new levels or at least a few multiplayer maps. I must say that in the interim between Allied Assault and the Spearhead expansion, I loved to play the MOHAA objective based maps, but grew tired of the same ones over and over again. A few single player missions and some new maps doesn't justify another $24.99 out of our pockets is all I'm saying.

Maybe so, but this is really the first big production PC game that involes the Pacific Theater on such a level. Sure there was the 2nd Deadly Dozen game, but in all fairness I think it's pretty safe the say that Pacific Assault will blow it away. It's a new theater with a completely different environment.

Sorry to hear about that Dig, but the only way for that to happen is to enable AA and use 3-click. Since the majority of users do not use either 3-click swing nor AA, then the bug is obscure. I personally find AA completely unnecessary in TW2004 at 1280x1024x32 and higher.

That being said, I agree it should have been fixed and I complained loudly about that. In looking at the patch for TW2004, EA did a great deal more good than bad especially for ATI users.

Weirdest thing, I picked up a copy of TW2002 from a bargain bin and it has the EXACT same problem as 2004 with the golfer disapearing with AA on using 3 click.

Sorry, I'm old school. 3 click is how I learned to play virtual golf and it's what I'm best at with it. :)

This game dose look pritty cool, probly the first MOH id buy (im not a fan of wwII shooters) however since hl2 and this game uses the same engine, i bet the physics are the same heh, then again i guess they could implment it diffrently.
