Blank screen / GeForce2 / RH9
I'm a Linux newbie, and this is my first post about it, because I can't find solution alone...
When I start my PC for the first time of the day, when X11 is starting, the screen becomes black (but not in standby mode). Sometimes, the screen performs a degauss and starts normally. When the PC is hot, it starts without problems (most of time ).
Hardware configuration :
ABIT KG7 with AMD Athlon 1.2GHz and 256Mo DDR
GeForce 2 mx220 (msi8829 board w 32 Mo) graphics, bios rev 03.11.01.24.00, AGP 4x
Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930SB screen
Software configuration :
Redhat 9 (Shrike) kernell 2.4.20-8
nvidia x86-1.0-5328-pkg1 driver
I've try minimum BIOS settings (especially for AGP), but nothing has changed.
I will enjoy any help !!!
Here is my XF86Config file, where I tried several option, but nothing seems to work...
Option "NvAgp" "2"
... to 1 and give it a go.
Thank you for your help, but it does not work....
When I started my PC this morning, the probleme was the same...
I'm having the exact same problem.
Here are my system specs:
slackware 9.1 (experienced on both kernel 2.4.22 and 2.6.2)
using both 5.3.x drivers
Different card, different dist. different kernels...any ideas out there? I've used all variations of the AGP settings too to no avail.
