Well, it's pretty cool. Looks pretty nice too. :)
But playing these games using a keyboard is hard! It's getting boring pretty quickly smashing the car against trees etc. :D

either use a controller or a wheel n pedals

MUYA 02-24-04 12:07 PM

Actually I found controls with keyboard sufficient. Ain't a rallysport where u could finish a race without braking ;)

I will posts some screenshots in a bit. I managed a good range of fps with 4X AA and 8XAA on 1024 by 768 res with every graphics option maxed in game.

Can someone with an FX5950U or an 9800XT do some benches with Fraps? I'm curious as to what fps-rate you'll be getting on the current top of the line cards, since R420 ran at 100 fps (peaking out at 120 fps) with supposedly all details to the max. :)

Ya, but that was in 64ox480. :D If the R420 didn't do it in that resolution, then which resolution did the article say? Also, what were the quality settings and was it a AMD 64 or Intel Prescott or EE they used? What speed system memory did they also use? I am unsure how specific they were about it, maybe I missed that part of the article. :D

Peace,

:afro:

Well, i played with fraps running and the FPS was around 70-80 with 4xAA/8xAF 1024x768 and the game settings maxed. But who knows what settings they used with R420. Was it even the demo? Maybe there's more graphics settings in the full game, i dunno.
Many questions, no answers. :p
