How do i Force SUSE to use new driver

I've installed the driver -- no errors -- but WHATEVER I do I'm always getting the NV driver -- I can tell that because I get no NVIDIA logo and the driver is always nv in the configuration file.

(SUSE 9 with nvidia G0 5600 card and VAIO PCG GRT816S 16.5 Onyx black TFT screen (1400 x 1050).

X-server starts fine -- but screen gets garbled whenever I come out of X into non graphical mode or shut down the system.

I can restart X server -- then screen is OK again.

How do I REALLY GET RID of the old NV module and FORCE the new one to be used.
Thanks

Like it says in the SuSE readme, sax2 -m 0=nvidia
