mx440 -gforce2: framebuffer ?
I would like to set up a console-framebuffer for Video (PAL-Resolution)

- Is this possible? what modues have to be built into the kernel ?
- does rivab.o work for mx440 - gforce2 ?
- can I use nvidia.o for a console-framebuffer ? how ?

Blessing to the gurus and many Thanks

There is currently no good framebuffer driver for nvidia cards except for vesafb. Rivafb is VERY buggy and was mainly made for riva128/tnt cards. It lacks support for more recent cards and it doesn't want to work together with nvidia's drivers. Further it wasn't that fast (no dma was used) compared to other framebuffer drivers. If you really need a framebuffer driver forget nvidia cards. (perhaps scitech's universal driver has a framebuffer driver ..)
