What is diff. between IA32, IA64, Amd64 etc
As you can tell i am a linux newbie. I have a Geforce Titanium 2 gfx card and i am running SUSE 9.0 (sometimes i load up Fedora Core 1). I want to update the display drivers but i dont know which of the following to get:
IA32, IA64, AMD64 and Free BSD
Whats the differences and more importantly which will work on my machine
(its a pretty standard personal desktop 1.1Ghz 256mb RAM....)
Re: What is diff. between IA32, IA64, Amd64 etc
IA32, IA64 and AMD64 refer to cpu architectures. Normal x86 (pentium, athlon) is called IA32, intel's 64bit Ithanium is called IA64 and AMD's x86-64 is called AMD64. In your case you need IA32 drivers.
