Help installing video drivers

I use slackware 9.1 with kernel 2.4.22
after I downloaded the latest driver for linux I ran it (it was a "shell script")
For some time it seemed like something was going on. Then KDE crashed and returned me to the console where ware some error messager. I ran the script again and again, and every time there was some activity, but it the preferences the VESA graphic adapter didn't change.

IS there anything else I need to do exept running the shell script.

My videocard is integrated GF4MX ot a nFORCE 2 Ultra 400 mobo (GA 7N400 V Pro)

Post your XF86config file, it may need to be edited. Have you read the readme on nvidia's site?

Re: Help installing video drivers

you have to run the installer script from the command line AFTER you have exited X

you can not run the installer from within X / KDE / GNOME etc
