GeForce4 MX4000 OpenGL probs

:lame: Recently i bought the gf4 card. up until now i had no problems with it but now when I go into any game which is opengl accelerated, the game appears with sort of rips through the screen and after a while, freezes or says: "Visual basic c++ runtime error, and freezes(and sometimes comes up wiht the blue screen of death). sometimes it works normally as well though. in battlefield 1942 the graphics just start going really weird and it goes heaps slow but doesn't freeze. plz help me fix this if you can. i have all the latest drivers and directx9.0c and no viruses.

system
Pentium 3 500Mhz
gforce4 mx4000

Re: GeForce4 MX4000 OpenGL probs

i had the same problems with a 440mx and 4200ti, i installed win2000 and opengl worked fine. there could have been leftover files on my installation from previous voodoo cards and such, but maybe win98 is starting to show its age and can't deal with some of the new routines
