Doom 3 tweak under linux???
 

The linux installer of doom 3 has been released and i was wondering if there is a tweak guide to boost up performance of this great game under linux.Well is there?????

you have to tweak the doomconfig.cfg. There's a rather long guide i made that has extensive sections of the Doom3 tweak guide pulled from tweak guides.

I can't find any Doomconfig.cfg ! That's the problem !!!!

I'm guessing you did a top-to-bottom search for it in all its folders, and nothing turned up? That's quiet odd.

most likely it's on your home folder in a hidden directory try .d3 or .doom3 or something that's how quake 3 did it under linux.

bring up the shell and type "ls -la" on your home directory: e.g. /home/braveheart ... The .cfg file is in Main of .doom3 ...

The standard doom3config.cfg is the base directory.
You can put all your tweaks and personal settings in a files called autoexec.cfg, also in the base directory.
A copy of the Doom3config.cfg is created in ~/.doom3/base or ~/.d3 ( I can't remember which just now ), don't bother editting this file though, just stick the files in the doom3/base directory.
