Looks about right to me. I get 5775 3DMarks in 3DMark 2003 with my system. My 5900 is overclocked to 425/950.

Seconded... your performance is on the money for what to expect from a mildly overclocked barton rig... and dollar for dollar they're still worth it IMO,

Hey I get 6800+ with my 5900xt!!!

But I'm a tweaker :)
Your scores are fine for your system. Your fps in Doom3 is very respectable.

Nice job! I bet it'd even break 7000 with the new drivers (considering the increased PS2.0 performance).

What drivers??? Which??

And I'm having trouble with my cpu... at the same clockspeeds it's lost about 80points in the cpu test of 3dmark2003. Since that 6830 score I have impoved my vid card even more (thanks jimmor, thanks arctic cooling) but my cpu ain't as great, that's confusing actually... I was above average in Sandra, now I'm average...

With my current sig I get 6777 (or something) now. That's with the cpu about 12!!!! percent less efficient. But I'm tired of benching, its fun for awhile but when you see Geforces 6 running circles around you... you stop benching and you go play games. Plus my raid array crapped 4 times in a month so... I want to loose the tinkering bug from my system (system = me)! ;)

BTw is 770MHz stable on that memory of yours? Its a bit limit for MSI standard cooling and standard latencies... if it is stable, cool! :)

Last time I ran the test was with 66.81. I get a great deal more FPS with that driver than I did with 61.77. Especially PS2.0. And that is what counts most on an FX card ;)

58.5 Avg FPS on 3Dmark03 PS2.0 test

I believe the extra performance comes from the new ps 2.0a, because in 3dmark05 I get more performance with 2.0a than I do with 2.0 (with unnoticable IQ loss).

27.2 Avg FPS in 3dmark05

Havn't run 3DMark03 in forever, I might just give it a try because of this thread and because you are my idle. You keep on representing with the FX5900XT, way to be... way to be...

Thanks :)

I seem to get best performance on this benchmark when I turn off AA/AF and vsync. All the extra performance I get from my card has come from overclocking and BIOS mods. Here is a link to my favorite BIOS editor
