Something I noticed about the Far Cry 1.3 patch

My performance was horrible and I figured something had to be wrong. So I completely unistalled farcry and reinstalled it and then installed the 1.3 patch right away. I noticed a huge difference in performance. About double the fps. So if you are having horrible fps you might want to give this a try.

Do you mean with HDR, or just in general? My performance actually increased quite noticably but HDR runs terrible (30fps max).

the 66.81 drivers have an issue with the 1.3 patch, try using an earlier set and it works okay

I wonder if my having the 1.2 patch installed has an impact--if uninstalling and going from 1.0 -> 1.3 would have any sort of impact?

Lol i installed 1.3 over 1.2 and when i loaded a level i had like 2 fps it was horrible, will see if a reinstall helps.

I cannot install 1.3 over 1.2 + a special fcx.exe file from the sdk. Gonna have to uninstall and re-install..still quite disappointed by non AA in HDR rendering mode

It says in the readme that Its not compatible with v 1.2? or did it just say savegames..... I dunno it was recalled for a reason.
