PCX 5750 on SuSE 9.2
I have read a number of posts here but have not found a solution to adding this card to 9.2. I have used the nVidia installer and recompiled the kernel, however came across mention that Rivafb was in conflict with the nVidia driver. Sorry I am a bit of a noob with Linux.

When I use Sax2 to config I cannot find the 5750 driver here, any help is welcome

Well I don't know much about Suse, but this link may help you:

"3) Configure X.Org with

sax2 -m 0=nvidia (0 is a digit, not a letter!)

NOTE: There is no need to try to enable 3D support. It's already
enabled, when the nvidia driver is running. "

Thanks chunkey, it does indicate it is running after this

Kibbs, I don't think there is a reason you should be recompiling the kernel with SUSE 9.2. I have the driver working with my 5700 Ultra without doing that. Maybe you mean compiling a kernel interface...

First, if I remember correctly sax2 will not display the name of the card, it will instead show a number (my FX 5700 Ultra is 0x0341). Check the nVidia readme for details:

Second, you can ignore the Rivafb message as long are you are not loading that module. (lsmod will tell you what modules are running)
