I know! I was so frickin' pumped when I found out Grohl did all the drumming! He's probably my favorite drummer (followed closely by Taylor Hawkins). I think this album is going to be in-effing-sane.

Yea-it's finally finished...let's hope he went back to his older sound and dumped that Fragile crap....I hear he's grown quite bitter, and angry again due to being broke ....word is he's suing a bunch of people trying to get some money together....sorry to hear that, but the venting anger makes for better music from reznor.

Broken is still the best album.ever.

So when's the street date for this?

Broken is spectacular, but it's not an album. It's an EP. :) TDS is my favorite album, The Fragile was great, but it just seemed a bit longwinded. Somewhat Damaged is one of the angriest songs I've ever heard and I love it. That along with The Mark Has Been Made and Star****ers, Inc. are my favorites on the album. But TDS is still years ahead of it.

From what I understand, he went to a more simple approach than the fragile, which hopefully means more Broken-esque.

And you're right: anger makes for better music...but when HASN'T Trent been angry? :-P

Oh, and there was like a question/response dealie on the site, too, talking about how Trent is currently mixing with teeth in 5.1 for a simultaneous release with just the standard stereo version.

He also mentioned that he wants to (and more than likely will) go back and redo The Fragile in 5.1. He wants to do Broken and Pretty Hate Machine but do to legal issues with TVT (whom he hates and wrote Broken because of), it may never happen.

I also hope that Closure on DVD gets released soon. I've never seen it and would very much like to.

I have closure on tape...it's 2 tapes actually...one with backstage footage and one with all his videos up to perfect drug...good stuff...the backstage stuff is quite fascinating...I used to watch it daily for a while-the interaction is so creepy...there's an awesome bowie/reznor version of Hurt on the tape too. Buy the vhs for now..it's worth it.

I don't have VCR.. :( That's why I hIven't bought it. And I've heard that it is rather ****ed up, so I never bought it when i was living at home in high school because my parents would've killed me if they saw that.

The DVD is apparently going to include all the videos up until whenever it comes out and will have some more bonus footage and easter eggs and the likes.

hmm...i've never really been a fan of tool. too...out there, for lack of a better term, for me to get into.

nin just helps calm me down so much by allowing me to sing along and get any anger out by screaming along with trent.
