Sound garbled using nvsound+FC2 -- wrong bitrate?
I installed nForce on my box running Fedora Core 2. When testing an MP3 file with
mpg123, I got the following error message:

Playing MPEG stream from test.mp3 ...
MPEG 1.0 layer III, 128 kbit/s, 44100 Hz joint-stereo
No supported rate found!

When I searched a bit on the web, I found that some suggested using
"mpg123 -r 48000 blah.mp3" as a fix. Sure enough, now I can hear the sound!

However... When I try to play an MPEG video (using MpegTV), I can see the video
without any problem, but the sound is all garbled (some kind of high pitched squeal).
The same thing happens when I try a test call inside Skype (by calling Echo123).
It sppears that my sound card sort of works, but default rate is set to something
incorrect? Appreciate any help!

Re: Sound garbled using nvsound+FC2 -- wrong bitrate?
After installing the latest nForce linux driver (NFORCE-Linux-x86-1.0-0301-pkg1),
the sound is no longer garbled in MpegTV. However, Skype now crashes (which
is already described in other threads)...
