Xinerama/GLX with legacy card?

I was very glad to see that the new driver supports glx on both screens in a Xinerama environment. Unfortunately this appears to have been introduced in the same release that dropped support for one of my cards (TNT2 M64). Does anyone know if the legacy driver release that I understand is coming will have this feature? And will it work with my second card (GF2 MX/MX400)? I assume it will be impossible to install the two drivers concurrently, that would (I imagine) require a lot of effort from nvidia to get working.

For now use the last driver with tnt support (1.0-7174). I think the main reason tnt support got removed had to do with OpenGL 2.0 support (more modern Geforce cards without support fall back to 1.5x). There are no legacy drivers yet, so not sure if it will work.

IMHO, the solution that causes the least headache ist to purchase another
GF2 MX400 - shouldn't be more then $20 on ebay or so. Even if you figure
out how to run the legacy and the new driver concurrently then the TNT2
will slow down full screen 3D operations - a chain is only as strong as it's weakes link :-)

The TNT2's fast enough, since it's the AGP card there's little to choose between them really. (I obtained the GF2 intending it to replace the TNT2 but they were similar enough I kept both). I'll manage and look for a new card when I have the chance and funds (poor student), I just like the idea of UT in 3200x1200, and it's infuriating that it had to happen in the very same release.

Is UT fast enough with a single TNT2 at 1600x1200? Two times 1600x1200
is IMHO not a good first person shooter gaming setup (crosshair right
in the middle where the two displays come together), but YMMV :-)

It certainly is, though it might not be with the details turned up (I always set them to minimum whatever I play unless it's really old). But then anything over 15fps looks fine to me, I'm not a serious gamer. Thanks for all your advice.
