FreeBSD random bug
This seems to only happen randomly.
I run FreeBSD 6.0-Stable Pentium4 with HT and smp kernel. XFX 6800 128MB with latest drivers. Sometimes X crashes just trying to start an openGL program, sometimes I just get an error about GLXBadDrawable, sometimes everything works perfectly. Sometimes when I try and play a GL game that I have installed from ports, I get an error: Code:
$ glasteroids Code:
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to obtain a shared memory identifier.Neverwinter Nights just crashes with this error, the same as ET Code:
SetGrabKeysState - disabledCode:

Re: FreeBSD random bug
Anyone know from installing the driver from ports, where the bug report sh script is located?

Re: FreeBSD random bug
There doesn't appear to be a bugreport sh script with the FreeBSD distribution of the driver. I've looked for them as well a while ago when I had some issues with the nvidia driver.

Re: FreeBSD random bug
I used to get GL application crashes (and sometimes other programs) until I replaced my motherboard which was suffering from bad caps.
My problem was that the capacitors on my motherboard did not show any physical signs for over two years. |

Is there any way to test this? To make sure? Restarting Xorg always fixes the problem. BTW this happens with the newest drivers too. 1.0-8178 |
FreeBSD GNOME bug!
I have found that Gnome is messing up all SDL applications. Does anyone know why this is? Have simular problems? If I restart X with blackbox, I can run quake4, glgears, etc.
When I use Gnome, I get the errors below. Any help would be great. |
