Unable to determine the version of the kernel sources
 

hi, i can't install latest nVidia drivers under amd64.
i get this:

ERROR: Unable to determine the version of the kernel sources located in
'/usr/src/linux-2.6.14'. Please make sure you have installed the kernel
source files for your kernel and that they are properly configured; on
Red Hat Linux systems, for example, be sure you have the 'kernel-source'
RPM installed. If you know the correct kernel source files are
installed, you may specify the kernel source path with the
'--kernel-source-path' command line option.

I use vanilla kernels from kernel.org, and i don't clean sources after building.
I also tryed `make modules_prepare` with no luck
The running kernel is the same of the sources.

Yes, but now many times Xorg crashes and i get this in the syslog:

NVRM: Xid: 6, PE0000 0420 ff668bb2 0000fdf8 ff6a90b7 ff6a90b7

and this in xorg.log:

Please generate and post a bug report, along with how this problem can be reproduced.
