glxinfo problem [SOLVED]
 
I all

I try to get some information concerning glxinfo

When i lunch glxinfo the following result appears :

[lefbe@localhost ~]$ glxinfo
glxinfo: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

glxgears seem work normaly :

[lefbe@localhost ~]$ glxgears
Loading required GL library /usr/lib/libGL.so.1

33746 frames in 5.0 seconds = 6749.172 FPS
33873 frames in 5.0 seconds = 6774.447 FPS
33878 frames in 5.0 seconds = 6775.460 FPS
33849 frames in 5.0 seconds = 6769.621 FPS
33849 frames in 5.0 seconds = 6769.664 FPS

Just install libGLU.so which has its own package or which is part of Mesa depending on the linux distribution. Make sure that if it is part of Mesa that libGL.so from mesa won't replace Nvidia's libGL.so. (The error you are seeing is not criticical, only for glxgears)

Hi,

How can reinstall mesa librairie on mandriva 2006 ?
I've found libGL.so.1 in the following folder /usr/lib/
