Need help to get optimal performance for 6800.
Well basically I’ve had my XFX GeForce 6800 graphics card for a couple months now and it was a huge improvement from my old one. So, I didn’t notice that it wasn’t running that well. My friend who got a GeForce 6600 GT could run games waaay better than mine. So I got to thinking that my card wasn’t running at its highest performance. Anyways, here are my specs, could someone help me by suggesting some ways that I could improve my graphics card? I’m kinda new at this stuff too, so if I’m missing anything, just let me know. Thanks!

Suggestions:
1. Make sure you have the latest driver version. 2. Try unlocking the extra pipes and vertex shader with RivaTuner http://downloads.guru3d.com/ 3. Try overclocking your core and memory if you can (RivaTuner). A faster CPU could help some but will not make a huge difference. Try the above first. |
