Text decay with 8178 driver and geforce 6800
Just wondering if I'm the only one experiencing text decay with the latest driver. What I mean by "text decay" is that from time to time the text in a window will become impossible to read, almost "smudged"? The release notes mention "Fixed a corruption bug with RenderAccel and the Composite X extension when using wide desktops." which seems related, but either way - it's still happening.

I have the same problem with renderaccel enabled. The text gets all garbled. The only way for me to fix it is to turn off renderaccel, or to scroll the text, or to set the window to fade out/in, and then make it continuously do that....
so, yeah... i got the 6800, using xorg 6.9, on suse10. any fixes around?!? d |

I was beginning to think I was the only one! (i.e. that I borked my system somehow)...

LOL - I was searching google for almost 12 hours and i couldn't find anything about this problem!... Though, I thought that this WAS the text corruption bug that occured on widescreen computers with renderaccel that was fixed in this release.... if so, then i guess that by fixing the widescreen systems, the normal ones goes to hell?... i can't believe that we're the only two experiencing this problem?!?! (and i just upgraded from ATI's crappy driver hell just yesterday.. wah!!!)
