Motherboard Compatability with FX 5500?

Will the e-GeForce FX 5500 board work in my motherboard? It is an AGP 8X/4X board. The motherboard manual states it will support an AGP 4X/2X board. The motherboard is a Asus P4S533-E (Socket 478).

If I download the latest Asus AGP driver and have problems, can I revert to my old driver? I am using an LCD display with1280x1024 resolution.

Thanks,
Bruce

it will throttle down or w/e to 4x agp which might hurt performace so at least you know where your bottleneck is (nana2) (nana2) (nana2)

Should work just fine. The FX5500 doesn't even come close to filling the 4xAGP bus.
